About Me
Meet Lisa
When I was teenager a woman who was the wife of a prophet slid me a note during a church service. I unfolded it and the note said that my voice would be my savior and the way I helped people. I thanked her, folded it, and tucked it away. From time to time, I've thought about that note and never knew what it meant. I was always the reserved "church" girl and had no clue that I would be using my voice for everything I do in my adult life!! I found my purpose in life and am navigating how to walk in it. My hope is that you are inspired to find yours too and walk in it!
My Writing Roots
I have always been intrigued by academics. Books have been some of my beest friends for years. I guess thats my inner nerd coming out!
I began writing stories when I was in 2nd grade. My teacher saw that I was good at it and pushed me to be creative and write whatever came to my mind. I still do this today and literally teach others how to do it as well!
My Style
If you're looking for perfection...it ain't here. My Southern Baptist foundational upbringing intertwines with my enticing Black Girl Magic to create my writing style. I am a creative who is open to pushing myself to the limits to become a better storyteller. My unique & unapoligetic voice is what gives me my classic style. Knowing that God created only one of me, provides me with the confidence that NOBODY can do what I do, like I do it! #mypurpose
